Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Arupmt ("we") handles information in the mobile application "TVリモコン" (TV Remote) ("the App"), available for iOS and Android.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information collected for advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to serve advertisements so that the App can be offered free of charge. AdMob automatically collects and transmits the following to Google for ad delivery and measurement:

• IP address
• Device information such as device model and OS version
• Ad interaction data such as impressions and taps
• Advertising ID (Android only; see below)

The iOS version does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). The App does not present an App Tracking Transparency request, so it cannot access the IDFA and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Ads shown in the iOS version are non-personalized.

On Android, the device's Advertising ID is used for ad delivery. See section 5 to opt out.

This information is handled in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy and its policies on advertising technology.

1.2 Information stored only on your device

To control your television, the App stores the following on your device. This information is never transmitted to our servers or any external destination, and we have no ability to access it.

• IP address, device name, and device type of the television you connect to
• Pairing credentials for the television (webOS client key, Samsung access token, Android TV client certificate and private key)
• The television's MAC address, used for Wake on LAN power-on
• Your settings, such as registered favorite channels
• Your remaining operation points

2. Purpose of Use

• Information in 1.1: to deliver advertisements, measure their effectiveness, and prevent abuse
• Information in 1.2: to provide the App's core television control features and retain your settings

3. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not disclose the on-device information described in 1.2 to any third party.

The advertising information described in 1.1 is provided to Google as our advertising provider, and is handled under Google's own privacy policy.

4. Network Communication

The App's network communication is limited to the following two types:

• Direct communication with a television on the same network as you (e.g. your home LAN)
• Communication with Google AdMob for advertising

We operate no servers of our own and perform no other external transmission. Which buttons you press on the remote is never transmitted outside your network.

5. Advertising Personalization

iOS

Because the App never requests tracking permission, no IDFA-based personalized advertising takes place. You can also adjust the following on your device:

Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"

Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off "Personalized Ads"

Android

You can opt out of personalized advertising based on your Advertising ID from your device settings:

Settings → Privacy (or Google) → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization" or "Delete advertising ID"

Menu names and locations vary by device and OS version.

6. How to Delete Your Information

Removing the App from your device permanently erases all on-device information described in 1.2.

• iOS: "Delete App" from the Home Screen or App Library
• Android: uninstall the App, or clear the App's storage from your device settings

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Permissions Requested by the App

iOS

On iOS, no separate permission is required for internet access, and the App never requests tracking (IDFA) permission.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy in response to legal changes or changes to the App's functionality. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and, for material changes, notify you within the App.
